The Signal: EP017
July 15th, 2006
The Signal: EP017 - a selection of music, arranged sequentially, for the amusement of those with their sense of hearing still intact, despite the vicissitudes of life, with its jackhammers, mosquitoes and errant pointy things suspended at ear height despite suggested safety standards.
The episode has been posted for 7 days or some number of downloads, so don't sleep. Tracklist is hidden behind the MORE link. Why? Because it's too long 'til Easter and something must be hidden and sought if not eggs.
Dogz 'n Sledgez
July 15th, 2006Link: http://www.ragga-jungle.com/static.php?file=million_video
The video isn't much to look at, really. Your usual Busta Rhymes-esque goofing for the camera along with shots of a crowd of people really into the audience.
But the song... the song is big. So minimize the window and listen if you haven't heard Million Dan's "Dogz and Sledgez" before.
Well, Who Doesn't?

Sublime Frequencies

Just read about Sublime Frequencies in the SF Bay Guardian today and let me tell you... my wallet didn't need to know about them. I'm trying to be broke over here.
I don't need to know about a label that has 20 or so albums of mish-mash music from around the world. Damn. When I'm broke, I gotta stop reading things.

Repost: The Uncovered Mix
July 1st, 2006I listened to the mp3 recently and didn't like how the levels were all over the place, some tracks being much louder than others. So I tinkered with it and reuploaded it. Please replace old copies with this new one.
The Signalstation Uncovered Mix: a collection of unlikely cover versions that walks the line between the novel and the sublime. 30 minutes of musicians paying tribute to (or walking all over) other musicians.
You've got seven or so days to download it and then it's gone, sucker. Like they say in the ads for the weight loss clinic where they addict you to heroin and then don't feed you, "You snooze, you lose!"
