The Signal: EP049
November 16th, 2008
The Signal: EP049 - Back once again. Don't call it a come back... I have seriously been here for years. My mother has no advice with regards to the ideal state of your consciousness.
So hey, there's this thing called "music," and you can string bits of it together into a long sequence and maybe even some people will listen to it. Unless your taste in music sucks. But since you're here, you're being given the benefit of the doubt.
What are the usual notes? Okay: The file's available for a limited time, so don't sleep. If you like what you hear, I like hearing about it. Tracklisting is in the id3 tags because I don't want this site to be Google-bait and I don't need strangers stopping by. You lot of loyal readers are strange enough. Also, you know... The Man. All that. He hates fun.
Notes are beneath the MORE, if I have anything interesting to say.
Oh, sorry... first time here? This is a music mix, and I tend to be partial to catchy pop, international sounds, electronica, eclectic oddness and radical cover version interpretations. I think that's us, squared away.
Emcee Child and the Bomb Squad: Mix
November 15th, 2008Two things, real quick.
1. Friend of the Signal, Emcee Child, is featured quite prominently on a music mix put out by Hank Shocklee over at Dazed Digital. So go check that out and you'll also hear what it sounds like when some of hip hop's most influential producers, The Bomb Squad, sound like when they've turned their attention to dubstep.
2. What the heck was the other thing?
I have no idea.
WFMU and the Election Today
November 4th, 2008Hey, looking for something to listen to while the votes are cast and counted? Why not give a listen to the odd emanations coming from WFMU and their special Electile Dysfunction '08 webcast?
