Bad news, everybody. Amazing Swedish vampire movie Let the Right One In, which Amanda and I were lucky enough to catch at our local theater and loved, has apparently been ill-served with terrible subtitles that strip much of the nuance off the script for the US DVD release.

I was looking forward to watching this film again and introducing others to it... but until they fix the subtitles, you're better off skipping it. The linked article above shows side-by-side screen shots so you can see how they butchered the translated subtitles.

This is an absolute shame.
