Robots and Copyright Law: 80s Franchise Reboot
From the mind of godownmatthew @ Twitter comes a franchise relaunch that'll knock your socks straight into the hamper. Reformatted and republished here because Amanda hates reading long things in reverse on Twitter, and who can blame her.

godownmatthew: ROBOCOP VS TERMINATOR: just as Skynet is about to become sentient, OCP launches a billion dollar lawsuit against Cyberdyne.
Robocop has 'uphold copyright law' added to his prime directives.
Spends much of the beginning of the film shooting guys selling bootleg Simpsons and Family Guy merchandise.
Follow up:
A Terminator, sent back in time by John Connor to give his younger self legal advice, appears.
Says the line 'Habeus corpus, baby'.
Which is laughed at by one guy in the theater who then later makes fun it for being 'fan service' on his blog.
OCP attempts to build a robo-lawyer, are unable to after the test subjects endlessly sue themselves.
Robocop is dispatched to John Connor's house after he uses a clip from YOU COULD BE MINE on the soundtrack to his vlog.
Lawyernator explains to Robocop how many laws he breaks all the time, the natural laws he breaks by existing, etc...
Confusing his prime directives
Robo leaves, depressed.
Last 45 minutes of the movie, Robocop wanders around Detroit, listlessly watching Terminators exchange business cards in a Starbucks window.
