The Signal: EP069
The Signal: EP069 - Despite the usual numerical significance, the party continues as it always has, no more salacious than we've come to expect. If you know what I mean.
The file is available for a limited time. Please enjoy responsibly. Track list is in the id3 tag. Notes are after the cut. Unless you came straight here, in which case you'll see them below.

Notes:
Every number below corresponds to a track, get it? And if I have nothing to say about a given track, there's no note. Okay, that's kinda obvious, you have to admit.
1. There may be some exaggeration in evidence here.
2. I loved this weird little clashy-chorded song back in the 90s. It may take a while to grow on you.
3. Everyone knows J-Newsom's first album by now, right? I certainly hope that its proving itself to be sample-worthy means everyone heard it because it's great. And I love hearing it in new contexts. ... Sure do wish I cared for anything she's done since that first one.
4. I have an unironic love of the Yes album this samples from.
...
8. Dude is the anti-Prince. Just keeps sharing. It's amazing. I latched on to this one because I love the repeated rhyming of a buzz sound. Come on, that's hilarious!
...
11. Pretty obviously trying to take advantage of the popularity of "Tequila." Even leaves room to shout out the song's title!
...
13. The almost-requisite cover.
...
And that's that! I didn't have any brilliant themes or anything going this time. Had about a third of it done weeks ago, then just sat on it. I hope it holds up.
Bonus movie recommendation: Watch True Stories featuring the Talking Heads and John Goodman. It's anthropology of America, using Texas as a focal point. There's some real insight in this weird movie, which I could not love more. Recommended viewing for foreigners and aliens. Of which David Byrne may be both.
