Repost: Interviewin' Pirates

Republished because why not. There's a lot of images on our server not being used anymore.

Because we changed weblog software, old posts were lost. Computers are a terrible way of keeping history.

It's a miracle we remember anything really. And then of course there's the heat death of the universe to consider.

Oh Yeah. Iron Man is a Jerk.

I forgot I did these. You'd think the current movie would have reminded me, so I could have revisited and recycled this content earlier.

Marvex: Golden Age Robot of Justice... And Killin'

by Michael SignalStation

PROTIP: If you’re going to build a robot that can think for itself and then make it do menial labor, don’t make it twice your size, indestructible, and strong enough to pick you up and use your body to beat your friends to death. Alas, such is ever the folly of man.

Feel free to learn this lesson well when reading about the comic book adventures of Marvex the Super-Robot, in his first adventure.

Who Wants a Postcard?

by Michael SignalStation

I drew on three postcards over the weekend, but don't have recipients in mind. So instead, the first three people to check in here with a comment can get a postcard sent to them today.

(Anyone past three... may just have to wait a bit. But will probably get a postcard.)

So who wants a postcard?

Tyrant Habañero

This is the packaging to a Japanese snack, little hoops flavored with a habañero pepper powder. The interesting thing about the packaging, and the reason I took the time to scan it, is that it took me a while to recognize that every single flame on the package is actually a stylized letter. You can read, repeated around the central image, the words "tyrant habañero."

Japanese-speaking coworkers told me that the demonic pepper is saying something like "no enemies," meaning that there is no equal on the market to him... none come close or can be considered actual competition.
